Oct 29, Kathmandu- The England team to play against Nepal in the 19th Hong Kong Cricket Sixes has been announced.
The Hong Kong Sixes announced the 7-member England team that will participate in the tournament on Tuesday. All-rounder Ravi Bhopara will be the captain of England.
Nepal will play their first match against England on 16th Kartik. In the Hong Kong Cricket Sixes, Nepal, Australia and England are in the same group. Nepal's second match in the competition is against Australia on Kartik 17. The top 2 teams from each group will qualify for the quarterfinals.
The semi-final and final match of the tournament will be held on 18th Kartik. 12 countries are participating in the competition. Participating countries are divided into 4 groups. In Group 'A' there are defending champions South Africa, New Zealand and Hong Kong and in Group 'C' there are India, Pakistan and UAE. Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Oman are in Group D.
In the last edition of the tournament held in 2017, South Africa emerged victorious, beating Pakistan. Six players from each team will participate in the tournament.
