Delhi Capitals Captain Rishabh Pant Released

Oct 31, Kathmandu- Wicketkeeper and Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant has been released. He is now going to the mega auction.

According to ESPNcricinfo, talks between Delhi's ownership group and Pant have been unsuccessful for the past few months.

Delhi have retained four players: spin duo Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav, South African batsman Tristan Stubbs and uncapped Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Abhishek Poral.

Delhi will have two RTM card options in the auction. Pant joined the franchise in 2016 and took over the captaincy in 2022.

Akshar has been with Delhi since 2019, Kuldeep joined since 2022 and Poral joined in 2023. Pant, Kuldeep, Akshar and Poral were retained by Delhi in the previous auction.

Stubbs was paid a base price of Rs 50 lakh. If Delhi fail to bring Pant back in the auction, they will have to choose a new captain.
