Indian And Chinese Soldiers Fed Sweets To Each Other

Oct 31, Kathmandu- On the occasion of Dipawli, the armies of India and China distributed sweets to each other on Thursday.

Along the Line of Control (LoC) along Hot Springs, Karakoram Pass, Daulat Beg Oldi, Kongkala and Chushul-Moldo in eastern Ladakh, officials of both the countries exchanged sweets and wished each other Dipawali.

Earlier, the process of withdrawing troops from both the borders of Depsang and Demchok was completed on October 30.

There will soon be a discussion between the officers of the ground commander on the matter of patrolling. In Tawang, Arunachal, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said, "Our effort is to take this issue forward through secession, but we will have to wait for some time."

On the agreement between India and China on patrolling in the LAC, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar had said on October 27 that withdrawal of troops was the first step. The next step is to reduce stress.

This tension will be reduced only when India is convinced that China wants the same. After the tension subsides, there will be a discussion on how to manage the border.
