Chinese Prime Minister Invites PM Oli For A Visit

Nov 05, Kathmandu- Northern neighbour of Nepal, China has invited Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli for a visit. In a letter addressed to Prime Minister Oli by Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang, a formal invitation to visit China from December 2 to 6 has been given.

A week ago, the official of the Chinese Embassy in Nepal reached the Prime Minister's Office after the invitation given by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, sources informed. However, Prime Minister Oli has not yet answered. Prime Minister Oli and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi had a meeting in New York on Ashwin 11 when he went to America to participate in the United Nations General Assembly.

In that meeting, Wang said that he would invite Prime Minister Oli to visit at the end of November or the beginning of December. According to Baluwatar sources, an invitation has been received from China and a decision will be made soon. Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba is also trying for Prime Minister Oli's visit to India. Prime Minister Oli and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi also met in America.

At that time, Indian Prime Minister Modi was invited to visit Nepal on behalf of Nepal. The Indian side is still silent about calling Prime Minister Oli. Chairman of CPN (UML) Oli was appointed Prime Minister on Asadha 30. After being appointed Prime Minister, Oli has not visited neighboring India and China. After becoming the Prime Minister this year, Oli has been formally invited to visit China for the first time. If Prime Minister Oli visits China, the BRI project and other issues will be discussed at that time.
