According to the statistics of Nepal Tourism Board, a total of 124,393 foreign tourists came in October. This number is 6.4 percent more than the same period of the previous year.

One lakh 17 thousand three hundred six tourists came in October 2023. According to the board, there has been a revival in the number of tourists by 92.96 percent compared to the year 2019, before the covid-19 (corona epidemic). In October 201,913,496 foreign tourists came.

According to the director of the board, Maniraj Lamichhane, the overall foreign tourist arrival is satisfactory. "Overall, the tourist arrival seems positive. In October, the expected tourists could not come, because at the beginning of the month, the incessant rains caused a disaster. Tourists can be expected to increase in the next two months".
