162 Street People Rescue By Manavsewa Ashram

Nov 05, Kathmandu- The Mechi-Mahakali National Rescue Mission of Manavsewa Ashram, which started 23 days ago, has reached Baglung today.

The central president of the ashram, Ramji Adhikari, the 50-member group, including the rescue mission's helper, Anichoyang Dolma, said that so far, 162 street people have been rescued. The group rescued 121 men, 36 women as well as four girls and one boy.

During the operation, the presiding officer said that the rescue operation is currently going on in Gandaki province. "We have rescued two girls in Pokhara", he said.

Meanwhile, in the program, Teertha Prasad Shrestha, a local of Baglung, has pledged to contribute one room for the construction of the Manavsewa Ashram under construction. There are 63 dependents in Baglung branch which has four districts of Dhaulagiri. Currently, the building of Manavsewa Ashram is under construction in Baglung Municipality-4 Nirayaghat.

The Mechi-Mahakali National Rescue Mission has been started to ensure that no one lives in a street box during the festival. The expenses of the campaign were borne by the singer Anichoyang Dolma.

There are 50 passengers on the Mechi-Mahakali national rescue journey. The center has been serving 19 districts of all the seven provinces through 25 branches.
