Three-day visit to India was successful: Energy Minister Khadka

Nov 06, Kathmandu- Energy Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Deepak Khadka has returned to Nepal after completing his visit to India.

Minister Khadka, who left for India for a three-day visit last Sunday, returned home today. He went to New Delhi, India to participate in the 7th General Assembly of the International Solar Alliance, which will be held from November 3 to 6.

He held a press conference at Tribhuvan International Airport to inform about his visit and said that his three-day visit was successful. He also said that a high-level political meeting was held during the visit.

He said, "This visit has been successful. The Government of India regards Nepal with high respect. Some other political meetings were also held".

He also said that the Government of India is enthusiastic for assistance in fulfilling the government's target of generating 28,500 megawatts of electricity by 2035. He said, 'Now, the target that we have set of producing 28,500 megawatts of electricity by 2035. There was also a discussion with the big business personalities about how to fulfill it. They are also excited, coming soon to work here".
