Israel Attacks Hezbollah's Main Stronghold In Lebanon

Nov 07, Kathmandu- Israel carried out a raid in the area near the Ben Gurion International Airport in Lebanon and carried out an air attack on the main stronghold of Hezbollah in South Beirut on Thursday.

Hezbollah launched the raid after it claimed to have carried out several attacks on Israel, including missile strikes, targeting a military base near Israel's Ben Gurion International Airport.

The Ministry of Health said on Wednesday that 40 people were killed in an Israeli attack on eastern Lebanon's Bekaa Valley and the densely populated ancient city of Baalbek, which is dominated by Hezbollah.

Since the end of last September, Hezbollah and Israel have been in a fierce war, while Israel is fighting Hamas in Gaza to secure the northern border. AFP reports that the attack near Beirut airport caused heavy damage to a warehouse of a heater factory.

Transport Minister Ali Hame said that although there was minor damage to some buildings including the airport complex, the airport is operating normally and there is no problem in the flight and landing of planes.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has promised to fight Hamas and Hezbollah until victory. Speaking to US President-elect Donald Trump on Wednesday, he said that Iran has created more danger in the conflict.

Prime Minister Netanyahu congratulated Trump on his election victory and agreed to work together for Israel's security, according to Netanyahu's office.
