Chasing the target of 94 runs given by Australia, Pakistan could score only 64 runs after losing 9 wickets in 7 overs. Pakistan's Abbas Afridi scored the most not out 20 runs. Seven Pakistani players failed to score runs in double figures. Australia's Xavier Bartlett and Nathan Ellis took 3 wickets each.
Earlier, Australia lost the toss and scored 93 runs after losing 4 wickets in 7 overs. Glenn Maxwell of Australia scored 43 runs. Abbas Afridi from Pakistan took 2 wickets.
Today's match was cut to seven overs after being affected by wind and rain. The second match of the T-20 series between Australia and Pakistan will be played on Saturday and the third and final match will be played on Monday.
Pakistan won the three-match one-day international cricket series earlier by 2-1.
