Nov 15, Kathmandu- Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister and Nepali Congress Joint Minister Badri Pandey has lodged a complaint with the Party Central Disciplinary Committee and the Parliamentary Party saying that Nepali Congress MP Rajendra Bajgai has been serially spreading bad news against him.

In the complaint submitted to the Disciplinary Committee on Thursday and the Parliamentary Party on Friday, Nepali Congress Mahasamiti member and Member of Parliament representing Gorkha District Area No. 1 and tourism businessman Bajgai has been making a series of allegations on social media since he was appointed Minister.

The complaint states, "The baseless accusations made by the elected Honorable Member of Parliament of Nepali Congress attacking the party's internal discipline and my personal honesty and integrity have not only seriously hurt my personal feelings, but have also hurt the party's ideas, principles and ideals. In democracy and the rule of law, until this kind of undesirable activity is brought under the ambit of law, lawlessness will be encouraged and honesty and integrity will be mocked".

After Bajgai posted on social media on Tuesday that he committed corruption while granting a license to a casino, some online news were published about it.

Soon after the news about it was published, Minister Pandey responded that he would take legal action against him as there were baseless accusations against him, after which MP Bajgai removed all the posts against Pandey from social media after a few hours.

The complaint states,"Since the date of the swearing-in of the minister, a series of malicious, undignified and illegal acts have been committed in the functioning of the ministry and in order to tarnish my personal character and reputation, with malafide intentions, by making serious allegations such as bribery, spreading disinformation and blaming my personal moral conduct and reputation. This act has also disturbed the basic ideas and principles adopted by the Nepali Congress party and my personal character and the internal discipline of the party".

It is said in the complaint, "I am moving forward in my personal and political life on the path of integrity, honesty and ethics without any disturbance. I am devoting myself to my political journey by following the footsteps of the Nepali Congress Party and the top leadership on the path of sacrifice and morality".

"I am determined not to let my integrity and my personality be stained in any way. Honorable Bajgai's undesired chaotic and illegal actions have seriously violated the rule of law, democracy, party and parliamentary system, dignity, law and discipline as well".

"I appeal to the members of the House of Representatives to investigate and take necessary action against such undignified, undesirable, chaotic and illegal actions by exposing the truth while challenging the baseless, malicious and illegal allegations made in condemnable language through his personal social media Twitter (X) and Facebook on Kartik 27, 2018, without caring for the dignity and dignity of the office".
