Nov 16, Kathmandu- The Mega Auction of Indian Premier League 2025 will be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on November 24 and 25. The IPL has released the final list of 574 players, including 366 Indian and 208 foreign players, going to the auction on Friday.
A total of 1574 players were registered for this auction, but the IPL Governing Council has shortlisted 1000 players and selected 574 players for the final auction. Now the IPL franchises will choose 204 players from these players. In this auction, the base price of 81 players is 2 crores.
IPL informed that 12 marquee players will be auctioned first in the auction. The marquee players are made into two sets of 6-6 players. Their base price is 2 crores.
In its first set, England batsman Jos Buttler, India's Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant and Arshdeep Singh, South Africa's Kagiso Rabada and Australia's Mitchell Starc are there. Then in the second set, India's Yuzvendra Chahal, KL Rahul, Mohammad Shami and Mohammad Siraj, England's Liam Livingstone and South Africa's David Miller are there. According to IPL, 10 franchises are going to spend a total of 5 billion 517 million baht for 204 players in this auction.
None of the Nepalese players had registered their names for this time's IPL auction.
