Nov 19, Kathmandu- Bhaktapur Hospital has started cataract surgery service. The hospital has started the service from today.

According to Dr. Sumitra Gautam, executive director of the hospital, cataract surgery will be performed every Tuesday. Earlier, the hospital was providing outpatient services to eye patients. The service was started after the state government provided the equipment.

Meanwhile, Health Minister of Bagmati province Kiran Thapa said that out of the 13 provincial hospitals of the province, eye surgery services have been expanded in Bhaktapur Hospital and the provincial government will provide all possible support to provide this service in other hospitals of the province.
