Nov 22, Kathmandu- Indian Army Chief Upendra Dwivedi is meeting Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli today.

Dwivedi is scheduled to meet Prime Minister's Office Singha Durbar at 4:30 pm today. Before that, he will meet Defense Minister Manbir Rai.

Dwivedi was awarded the honorary rank of General and sword by President Ram Chandra Poudel on Thursday.

As a continuation of the military relations between Nepal and India, both countries have had a tradition of conferring the rank of General on each other's Chief of Army Staff since 1950.
