Nov 28, Kathmandu- Police have arrested the main accused in the murder of Hari Bhushan Kuswaha, the principal of Ram Raja Mohan Bikram Shah Campus in Bara.
Seven months after the incident, police arrested 41-year-old Surendra Prasad Kuswaha of Adarshkotwal Rural Municipality-2 in Bara on Wednesday.
He was arrested from Morang and made public by the District Police Office, Bara, at a press conference on Thursday. Surendra had been living in hiding in various places in India.
Campus chief Kuswah was murdered on the evening of 2081, Jestha 2, while he was coming towards Kalaiya from a place called Khajuriya in Adarshkotwal Rural Municipality-2.
According to the police, Kuswah had said that Surendra had shot him before his death.
Weapons used in his murder, two pistols and seven bullets, four motorcycles and four mobile phones, two laptop cases and seven SIM cards were also recovered by the police.
A case has been registered against the arrested Surendra for murder and weapons possession, and a preliminary investigation has been conducted.
Police investigation revealed that 17 people, including Surendra, were involved in the incident.
