According to Punya Prasad Dahal, Ward Chairman of Damak-4, arrangements have been made for testing and counseling for the ward residents for a month. He said that they started this program to reduce and manage non-communicable diseases. He said that there is no problem in testing as there is a modern lab in the urban health center itself.
According to Damak Municipality, there is a plan to hold this program and camp in all wards of the city at least once a year. Wards can also run regular programs from their own budget. According to Mayor Ram Kumar Thapa, the KHDC program is expected to save many people in Damak from premature death.
