Dec 02, Kathmandu- More than 1,000 people have benefited from a free health camp held in Bhagwati, Raghuganga Rural Municipality-2, Myagdi.
1,127 people have availed services from the camp, which was organized by Raghuganga Rural Municipality and Nelombo Nepal Pokhara from Friday to Sunday.
Tika Bahadur Shahi, head of the health branch of Raghuganga Rural Municipality, informed that 785 women and 342 men availed services from the camp.
The camp provided health check-ups, video X-rays, ECGs, laboratory consultations and free medicines to patients related to orthopedics and neurology, dermatology, general medicine, gynecology, ear, nose and throat and dental diseases.
A team of more than 20 health workers, including orthopedic and drug specialist Dr. Sudarshan Acharya, doctors Binod Baral, Vishal Sapkota, Manisha Baral, and Dikshya Chhetri, provided services at the camp.
Raghuganga Rural Municipality Chairman Bha Bahadur Bhandari said that residents of Beg, Bhagwati, Piple, Dagnam, Jhin, Pakhapani, Chimkhola and Kuinemangale have availed the services. He said that the camp was organized targeting patients who were not receiving treatment due to geographical remoteness, financial constraints and family problems.
Transport arrangements were made in coordination with the ward to bring the general public from geographically distant wards 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 to the camp and receive health treatment.
