Congress Maintains Lead In Kirtipur, UML Trails By 659 Votes

Dec 02, Kathmandu- The counting of votes for the by-election for the mayor of Kirtipur Municipality is underway. According to the Election Commission, Nepali Congress candidate Krishnaman Dangol has so far received 3,385 votes for the mayor's post.

He is followed by Surendra Manandhar of the Communist Party of Nepal (UML). He has received 2,726 votes. There is a difference of 659 votes between them.

Similarly, Shiva Sharan Maharjan of the CPN (Maoist Center) has received 2,317 votes and independent candidate Rajman Maharjan has received 1,207 votes.
