Dec 02, Kathmandu- Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has arrived in Beijing, the capital of China. Prime Minister Oli was welcomed by Sun Weidong, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Communist Party of China, at the Beijing Capital International Airport.
Prime Minister Oli left for a four-day official visit this morning on a Himalayan Airlines chartered flight at the invitation of Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang. Prime Minister Oli was seen off at the Tribhuvan International Airport by Tourism Minister Badri Prasad Pandey, Deputy Chief of the Chinese Embassy in Nepal Wang Xin, and heads of security agencies. A contingent of the Nepali Army presented a guard of honour to Prime Minister Oli.
The visiting team includes the Prime Minister's wife Radhika Shakya, Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba, the Prime Minister's Chief Advisor Bishnu Prasad Rimal, the Prime Minister's Economic and Development Advisor Dr. Yubaraj Khatiwada, federal parliamentarians, government officials including senior and distinguished officials, private sector representatives, media personnel, and 87 others. Of the 87 members of the visiting team, 39 went to China at government expense and 48 at private expense.
