Dec 08, Kathmandu- Iraq is working to integrate Syrian soldiers and civilians. About 2,000 regular soldiers entered Iraq yesterday, and some of them are now receiving medical treatment.
The armed forces said they were engaged in armed clashes with Syrian opposition forces. According to Iraqi officials, further identification of the soldiers is yet to be made.
Along with the soldiers, civilians and government employees have also entered Iraq through the border crossing. Tents are being set up and houses are being built near the border to house these military refugees.
There are armed groups linked to Iran in Iraq, which are involved in fighting with the Syrian opposition and Hezbollah in Lebanon.
