Dec 14, Kathmandu- Now it is possible to talk like a video chat in ChatGPT. OpenAI is going to bring a feature that allows you to use the camera on this platform. Once this feature is available, ChatGPT's app will have access to the phone's screen and camera. This will save the user from having to upload photos repeatedly.
After sharing the screen during the conversation, ChatGPT will proceed with the conversation based on the photo or content of the screen it sees. In the same way, you can chat in the video with the advanced voice mode of ChatGPT as you do video chat. Along with this, ChatGPT is said to be able to talk based on your gestures, facial expressions, etc.
After months of testing, OpenAI announced the Advanced Voice Mode last September. With the help of this feature, chatGPT could be talked to in an interactive way by speaking. A feature was provided to talk in person's voice while talking, to know if there is an interruption and to respond based on that.
In May last year, the company also discussed about live video mode. A demo of how the feature can be used with the camera was presented. Finally, seven months after discussing the video mode, the company is finally bringing such a feature.
Once this feature is available, you can select the video and screen share options by going to the voice mode icon. The interactive chat will then proceed based on which option you select.
This feature is said to be available to ChatGPT Plus, Pro and Teams users in the initial phase. Enterprise and EDU users will be able to use this feature only from January.
