Dec 15, Kathmandu- One person died when a Scorpio hit a motorcycle in Khadakpur, Bodebarsain Municipality-10 under the Bodebarsain-Subhanpatti section of the district.

The accident involved Mohammad Korais Ali, aged around 32, of Kalyanpur, Khadak Municipality-7, who was riding the motorcycle, and died on the way to the hospital.

Mohammad Korais Ali, aged 32, a resident of Kalyanpur, Khadak Municipality-7, died after an Indian Scorpio (BR 07 BAB 8172) coming from Subhanpatti towards Bodebarsain hit a motorcycle coming from the opposite direction, according to the Area Police Office, Bodebarsain. The District Police Office, Saptari, has reported that Ali died.

The motorcyclist involved in the accident, Md. Sadam, aged 24, of the same Khadak Municipality-11, has been seriously injured. He is undergoing treatment at the local Jeevan Jyoti hospital in Bodebarshain, and the Scorpio that caused the accident is under the control of the Area Police Office in Bodebarshain, according to the police.

The driver of the Scorpio is absconding, police said. Police also said that further investigation into the accident is underway.
