Dec 16, Kathmandu- Relatives and well-wishers paid tribute to former Kathmandu Mayor PL Singh, who passed away at his residence in Chaksibari on Monday morning.
They paid tribute by laying wreaths on the mortal remains of Singh, who was also a former minister, at his residence in Chaksibari.
Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balen Shah, Deputy Mayor Sunita Dangol and other relatives and well-wishers had reached the spot to pay their respects.
His mortal remains are now kept at the residence. Preparations are underway to keep him at the party office for the last rites of the Congress leader.
Singh was elected in the 2049 BS local level elections and became the mayor of the then Kathmandu Municipality.
Singh, 85, who had been unwell for a long time, underwent abdominal surgery last year. He also had problems with his lungs.
