Dec 16, Kathmandu- Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel is set to visit Thailand. The cabinet meeting held on Mangsir 27 has decided to grant approval to a delegation led by the Finance Minister to visit Bangkok, Thailand from Paush 2 to 3.
On Monday, government spokesperson and Minister for Communications and Information Technology Prithvi Subba Gurung informed that a decision has been made to approve the visit of a delegation led by Finance Minister Poudel to participate in the High-Level Consultation Meeting on Financial Cooperation for Development in the Asia and Pacific Region to be organized at the Bank.
Similarly, the meeting also decided to accept the concessional loan assistance of approximately US$ 85 million to be received by the Government of Nepal from the Asian Development Bank for the implementation of the Irrigation Modernization Enhancement Project.
Minister for Communications Gurung informed that it has been decided to transfer Alok Chandra Shrestha, Secretary of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, to the post of Secretary of the Nepal Law Commission, and Paraschar Dhungana, Secretary of the Nepal Law Commission, to the post of Secretary of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
Along with this, the meeting has made 14 other various decisions.
