Dec 17, Kathmandu- A six-month Chinese language training program for Nepali tourism entrepreneurs has been completed.
The training, jointly organized by the Nepal Tourism Board, the Chinese Embassy, and the Nepal-China Cultural and Educational Council, was conducted with the aim of enabling Nepali tourism entrepreneurs to connect and serve Chinese tourists more effectively, according to the organizers.
The closing ceremony of the program was attended by Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Ram Krishna Lamichhane, Senior Director of the Nepal Tourism Board Hikmat Singh Iyer, Deputy Chief of Mission of the Chinese Embassy Wang Xin, and Chairman of the Nepal-China Cultural and Educational Council Dr. Harish Chandra Shah, among other distinguished personalities.
This year, 100 people enrolled in the program, of which 40 have successfully achieved proficiency in the Chinese language standard and received certificates. The trained participants are now able to address the growing influx of Chinese tourists visiting Nepal.
