Dec 17, Kathmandu- Now you can send messages to your friends by creating a schedule on Instagram. With a recent update, Instagram has introduced a feature that allows you to send messages on a scheduled time.

With this, you can now choose the date and time to send a message to someone. According to Instagram's support page, only text can be sent through this feature at the moment. Photos, videos, and GIFs are not supported by this feature. Similarly, this can only be done on the mobile app.

To send a message on Instagram like this, after typing the message, you need to press and hold the 'Send' button for a while. Then, a new pop-up screen will appear with the option to select a date and time. After selecting the date and time, your message will be scheduled.

It is said that this is one of the works that the company is doing to improve the Direct Message (DM) experience. Earlier, the company had introduced features related to DM such as Edit Message, Draw on Photo, and Share Live Location.
