Dec 19, Kathmandu- Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has directed to conduct a thorough investigation into the alleged publication of a photo of Rastriya Swatantra Party President Rabi Lamichhane, who is in the custody of Kaski Police, and to immediately bring the culprits to justice.

On Thursday, Home Minister Lekhak directed Police Chief Basanta Bahadur Kunwar to investigate the matter and bring whoever is guilty to justice.

The Home Ministry said that after a cadre of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) posted a photo of what it said was inside a detention cell on social media on Wednesday evening, the police were directed to investigate the matter.

Minister Lekhak informed that he has directed the police chief to investigate the matter and take immediate action against the culprits. Similarly, police spokesperson Senior Superintendent of Police Bishwa Adhikari also informed that the police has initiated the necessary investigation into the matter of the publication of the photo.
