Dec 20, Kathmandu- The film 'Bam Bahadur', starring Saugat Malla in the lead role, has been released across Nepal since Friday.
The historical struggles and life moments of Nepalese living in Darjeeling and neighboring Dooars in India have been brought to the screen.
Based on events that took place in the 1980s, approximately 38 years ago, this film vividly portrays the struggles of the Nepali community in India, depicting the social and political backdrop of that time.
According to director John Rai, this film was made with the aim of preserving the history of the Nepali community in India as a digital document.
Produced by Beast Brothers Films Pvt. Ltd., producer Sanjeev Sarki said that the film was made with the aim of ensuring that today's and tomorrow's generations do not forget their history.
The film stars Prashant Rai, Anisha Rasaili, Bhaskar Pradhan, Mahendra Bagdas, Madan Bhujel, Bharat Vashistha, Ajay Pradhan, Shantila Tamang, Riya Bhujel, child artist ashistha Karki, Suresh Panchakoti, Prabhat Pakhrin, Badal Chhetri and Dheeraj Chamling.
The story and screenplay of the film are written by John Rai and Rupesh Tamang. The cinematography is by Sujoy Kumar Ghosh 'Munna' and the editing is by Gyan Gurung. The music and lyrics of this film are by Dipankar Singh Mukhiya, and the music arrangement and background score are prepared by Ijaz Ali.
The film's line producer is Prakash Hamal, colorist Kunal Kunwar, and sound mixer is Mukesh Shah. Distribution is handled by Rich Entertainment and FD Company. Post-production was done at Classic Cine Universe in Nepal and Healing Octaves Studios in India.
