Case Involving Rabi And Chhabi Did Not Reach The Court On Friday

Dec 20, Kathmandu- The District Attorney's Office did not take the case against the new defendant to court on Friday in the case of fraud of more than one and a half billion rupees from the Surya Darshan Cooperative Society in Pokhara, Kaski.

The case against the then Managing Director of Gorkha Media and Chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, Rabi Lamichhane, and his partner Chhabilal Joshi, who were arrested on Kartik 2 and are in the custody of the Kaski Police, is now set to reach court only on Sunday.

It will be 90 days since Rabi's partner and former DIG Chhabilal Joshi was arrested in Kathmandu on Sunday. Now, the government prosecutor's office is set to take the case of the new defendants, including both of them, to court on the same day.

According to him, only supplementary charges were filed against 19 defendants, including Surya Darshan Cooperative Chairman Gitendra Babu Rai (GB), on Friday.

Lamichhane informed that the District Attorney's Office, Kaski, has not filed charges against the new defendants, including Rabi.
