Dec 20, Kathmandu- Chinese technology company Huawei has overtaken Apple to become the world's number one smartwatch brand. ​

According to the latest report from International Data Corporation (IDC), Huawei has become the top brand in smartwatch shipments in the first nine months of 2024.

Despite a decline in demand for smartwatches and fitness bands worldwide, shipments in China increased by 20 percent, the report said. Demand for smartwatches like Huawei's GT 5 and GT 5 Pro is growing in the market.
