Dec 21, Kathmandu- Senior leader of the Nepali Congress, Dr. Shekhar Koirala, has informed that he is preparing to build a Congress that is suitable for the times.

Addressing the first convention of the Nepal Democratic Fighters' Association in the Far West Province, he said that after the 15th general convention of the Nepali Congress, a Congress befitting the era will be formed. He stressed that the next Congress should be strong and dynamic. He said that unity and cooperation should be emphasized within the party and that he is ready to take the leadership for that.

He said that the general convention is also necessary to protect the Nepali Congress and strengthen democracy. Stating that unity, harmony and fair competition within the Congress are currently disappearing, he said that he is concerned that the Congress is gradually becoming like a communist party.
