Dec 22, Kathmandu- The US has attacked Houthi rebel positions in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa. The US carried out an airstrike on a Houthi missile storage center.
US Central Command has confirmed the strike in Yemen, saying it also shot down Houthi rebel drones and an anti-ship cruise missile in the Red Sea.
The US has carried out its second airstrike in two days after Houthi rebels attacked Israel. There were no immediate reports of casualties, but at least 16 people were injured.
Houthi rebels launched a ballistic missile attack on Tel Aviv, Israel, on Saturday. Dozens of people were injured in the attack.
The Houthis are an Iran-backed rebel group that controls the northwestern region of Yemen.
The Houthis began attacking Israel after the war in Gaza began in October 2023. Houthi leaders have said they are united with the Palestinians.
