Case Against Rabi Presented In Court

Dec 22, Kathmandu- The case against former Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane, who was arrested in the cooperative case, has been submitted to the District Court. District Attorney Kamala Kafle informed that a four and a half page long charge sheet and related evidence have been submitted to the court. Currently, the work of verifying it is underway in the District Court.

Acting District Court Judge Khyam Narayan Lamichhane informed that the charge sheet has been submitted and the process of studying the case is underway.

Preparations are underway to register a case against Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane, who is in custody of Kaski Police on charges of cooperative fraud, along with organized crime and money laundering. He was produced before the District Court this morning.

The District Police Office, Kaski, had submitted an investigation report to the Government Attorney's Office on Poush 1. The report suggested that Rabi, GB Rai and others should be held liable for a claim of about one billion rupees. On the same basis, a case was registered against 19 people, including Gorkha Media Pvt. Ltd. Chairman Gitendra Babu (GB) Rai, on Paush 20.
