Dec 22, Kathmandu- An inmate of Mahottari Prison has died of a heart attack.

The prison administration has informed that 30-year-old Nishaj Sunuwar of Kamalamai Municipality-7, Sindhuli, who was being held for trial in a drug abuse and trafficking case, died on Sunday.

He had been in custody for six months on the orders of the Mahottari District Court and was immediately taken to Jaleshwor Hospital on Sunday morning after feeling unwell. The doctor confirmed that he died of a heart attack, said Rabin Chandra Thakur, information officer of the prison.
