Dec 23, Kathmandu- Nepal Police have arrested two people for misbehaving during the final match of the Nepal Premier League (NPL).
The arrested have been identified as 21-year-old Ashok Saud of Doti Adarsha Rural Municipality and 19-year-old Ganesh Saud of Doti Dipayal Silgadhi Municipality, informed Superintendent of Police, District Police Range, Kathmandu, Nawaraj Adhikari.
A fight broke out between some people after a match between Janakpur Bolts and Sudurpaschim Royals held at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground in Kirtipur on Paush 3, organized by the Cricket Association of Nepal. Police said that some people were arrested during an investigation conducted through various agencies and media outlets and based on the complaints of the victims, for using abusive words, trying to damage communal harmony, and behaving indecently towards various people.
He informed that the search for other people involved in the incident is ongoing.
