Dec 23, Kathmandu- Nepali peacekeepers deployed in the Central African country have been exchanged.
The last team of 225 peacekeepers from the third team of the Yudhbhairav Battalion has left for the Central African country to replace the second team of the Mahabir Battalion (Rangers) deployed under the ‘Light Infantry Battalion’.
The team is led by Lieutenant General Hupendra Lal Regmi, according to the Directorate of Military Public Relations and Information.
Earlier, 225 peacekeepers serving in the second phase of the same mission have returned home after completing their term. The team was led by Major General Prajwal Thapa. Currently, 1,244 Nepali peacekeepers are serving in the mission.
