4 Men And 1 Woman Rescued And Repatriated From Myanmar

Dec 24, Kathmandu- Five Nepalese rescued from Mewadi, Myanmar have been repatriated. According to the Nepali Embassy in Bangkok, Thailand, four men and one woman have been rescued and repatriated.

They were earlier rescued from Myanmar and taken to Thailand via the Tak Immigration Office in Mae Sot.

They were repatriated to Nepal on December 17 with the help of the Thai government agency IOM Thailand and non-governmental organizations. The embassy has stated that a woman was also repatriated on Tuesday.

The embassy has also requested that people go for foreign employment only with a work permit as per the criteria set by the Nepal government and not to come to Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Thailand for foreign employment due to anyone's temptation.
