129 Chinese Athletes Arrive In Pokhara On Charter Flight From Chengdu Of China

Dec 26, Kathmandu- 129 people have arrived in Pokhara by chartering a Sichuan Airlines plane from Chengdu Airport in China. The players were welcomed by Pokhara Mayor Dhanraj Acharya.

The players have arrived in Pokhara on a chartered plane to participate in the International Dragon Boat Festival starting on Friday.

The second Dragon Boat Festival is going to be held in Fewa Lake. 8 teams from China, 1 from Singapore and 11 teams from Nepal are participating in the festival.

In the previous festival, Chinese players had come on a chartered ship from Sichuan. This is the third time that they have come to Pokhara on a chartered ship from Sichuan. They had also come to Pokhara by chartering a ship for the cross-country running competition held in Pokhara in Kartik.

Sichuan Airlines will depart from Pokhara Airport and land in Kathmandu. 120 people, including businessmen and journalists, will land in Kathmandu from Pokhara and hold a press conference about Pokhara Airport to pressure the government to allow international flights.
