Dec 26, Kathmandu- One person was killed in a Scorpio accident in Bhojpur. Nine other people were injured in the accident, according to the district police office Bhojpur.
The accident occurred at around 8:30 am today when a Scorpio (Province 1-02-002 Cha 6923) fell off the road at Dadantol in Bokhim, Bhojpur Municipality-5, informed Police Inspector Deepak Shrestha of the District Police Office, Bhojpur.
Shrestha said that Jhamka Bahadur Ghale of Gauradaha Municipality-7 in Jhapa died in the accident. Nine people, including the Scorpio driver and a child, were injured in the accident. Inspector Shrestha informed that the condition of three of the injured is serious.
Japan Airlines reported a cyber attack on Thursday. The airline said that this caused delays in domestic and international flights but later found out the cause and resolved it.
"We have sent three seriously injured people to Kathmandu by helicopter a few moments ago for further treatment," Shrestha said. "The other injured are currently being treated at the Bhojpur District Hospital. Preparations are underway to take some of the more seriously injured to Dharan."
According to Inspector Rai, the seriously injured Sherpa of Lakpadiki of Bhojpur Municipality-5, Ram Kumar Rai of the same ward, and Ihayarana Subba of Dharan Sub-metropolitan City-2 of Sunsari were brought to Kathmandu by helicopter for further treatment.
The driver of the Scorpio, Sudip Limbu of Dharan-8 of Sunsari, has been discharged after treatment. He has been taken into custody by the police. Shrestha said that the Scorpio, which was carrying passengers on a tour of the local Temkedanda, lost control and fell about 250 meters off the road.
