Dec 26, Kathmandu- Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane has denied his involvement in the cooperative fraud.

He has given a statement in the District Court, Kaski, starting on Thursday, stating that he is not involved in the cooperative fraud. Since his statement has not been completed, questions will continue to be asked on Friday as well. The details of the statement have not been released yet.

Based on a 90-day investigation by the police, a case was registered against Lamichhane for cooperative fraud, money laundering, and organized crime. Following this, a custodial interrogation is currently underway in the court.

Earlier, the statement of Leela Pachhai, who was involved in the cooperative case, was recorded. On Monday and Tuesday, the statement of Chhabilal Joshi, the owner of Gorkha Media and also a former DIG, was recorded.
