Dec 28, Kathmandu- Winter snowfall have started in some places in the Far West and Karnali province since this morning. The Meteorological Forecasting Division has stated that there is a possibility of rainfall due to the partial influence of the westerly wind as well as the western low pressure system.

The bulletin issued this morning states that the rain system is gradually moving from the west to the east. Light snowfall is occurring in a few places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Sudurpaschim Province and Karnali Province. The division has stated that there is a possibility of rainfall in many places in the country, including Kathmandu, by this evening. In the afternoon, there is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall in some places in Sudurpaschim and Karnali, including Lumbini, and light rain in a few places in Gandaki, Bagmati, Madhes and Koshi.

There is a possibility of light to moderate snowfall in some places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Sudurpaschim Province, Karnali Province, and Koshi Province, as well as in one or two places in Gandaki Province and Bagmati Province this afternoon and night.
