Dec 28, Kathmandu- A man who killed 35 people in a car attack in China has been executed within a month and a half. A man who killed 35 people in car attack in the southern Chinese city of Zhuhai last month was executed on Friday.

According to Chinese state media, on November 11, 62-year-old Fan Weiqiu deliberately drove his small SUV into a crowd of people exercising outside a sports complex, killing 35 people.

It was seen as the most terrible massacre and attack in China since 2014. The police said at the time that he was injured after being stabbed at the scene and was taken into custody.

However, his trial was held in public on Friday and the verdict was announced on the same day. Weiqiu reportedly confessed to his crimes in front of some of the victims' families, government officials and the public.
