Dec 28, Kathmandu- Elephants have been fed a forest feast as part of the ongoing 18th Elephant and Tourism Festival in Sauraha, Chitwan. The elephants, who are always busy in the jungle safari, were fed a forest feast on Saturday.
Festival coordinator Ram Kumar Aryal said that various dishes including sugarcane, sweet rice, dragon fruit, green corn, melon, and pumpkin were served at the forest feast. He informed that the forest feast was organized to entertain the elephants.
35 private elephants were made to participate in the forest feast. A large crowd of spectators gathered to watch the elephants feast.
The main attraction of the festival is the elephant's forest feast. The elephant festival is organized with the aim of extending the stay of tourists in Chitwan on the occasion of Christmas and English New Year.
