60 Students At Samsung Innovation Campus

Dec 30, Kathmandu- 60 students are participating in the third batch of Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC).

As part of Samsung's global CSR initiative, Samsung Nepal is running the Innovation Campus in Nepal in collaboration with Tribhuvan University. They are being trained at the Pulchowk campus under the Institute of Engineering of Tribhuvan University.

During the ceremony organized under this, 30 students who completed the Artificial Intelligence (AI) course were awarded certificates. Similarly, 60 students who entered the third batch of the coding and programming course were welcomed.

Samsung has been running this exercise since 2022. Under this, students are trained over a five-month period focusing on AI curriculum, advanced AI concepts, and practical applications.

Speaking at the event, In Su Kim, Head of Samsung Nepal, said that the initiative is aimed at empowering youth through innovation and education. “We are proud of the dedication of these students and the achievements they have made. We are excited to see the impact they will create in the future,” he said.

Prof. Dr. Sushil B. Bajracharya, Dean of the Institute of Engineering, Tribhuvan University, said that the program has brought about a change in the students. “I appreciate Samsung’s efforts to promote innovation among Nepali youth. We look forward to continued support in this,” Bajracharya said.

The coding and programming curriculum designed for the new batch will provide students with basic and advanced knowledge in algorithms, data structures, and real-world programming.
