Dec 30, Kathmandu- The 16th village assembly of Malika Rural Municipality, Myagdi has concluded with the main slogan of ‘Market-oriented agriculture, sustainable infrastructure in accessible health and education, the future journey is youth self-employment.’ An additional budget of Rs 27.2 million was passed from the 16th session of the village assembly held in Chhiyar Chhiyare, Darbang, on Sunday.
Out of the total budget of Rs 21.2 million for the last fiscal year 2080-081 and Rs 12 million for the construction of the Niskot-Tarakhola road, Rs 6 million was allocated from the cost participation supplementary fund of the rural municipality, making a total budget of Rs 27.2 million in the consolidated fund, which was allocated for various schemes by the 16th village assembly, informed Anup Gauchan, spokesperson of the rural municipality.
According to spokesperson Gauchan, Rs 5.8 million has been allocated to continue the Darbang-Niskot road upgrade, Rs 1 million for the purchase of educational materials for underprivileged students, an additional Rs 370,000 for the purchase of health medicines and tools, and Rs 1 million for the protection of the Khopti settlement. Similarly, Rs 1.2 million has been allocated for the partnership with Kharbang Drinking Water Newa, Rs 800,000 for the upgrade and construction of the Solikhola Luksipar Sole Motorway, Rs 2 million for the construction of a temporary building for Okharbot Secondary School, and Rs 1.4 million for the construction of a stretch and building for the Himali Youth Club.
Spokesperson Gauchan informed that an additional budget of Rs 27.2 million has been allocated from the 16th village assembly of the rural municipality for 46 plans under various titles including roads, agriculture, education, health, infrastructure, sports, drinking water, and sewage disposal. In the village assembly held under the chairmanship of the rural municipality chairman Beg Prasad Garbuja, Economic Development Committee Coordinator Path Bahadur Roka presented the periodic plan of Malika Rural Municipality from the fiscal year 2081-082 to the fiscal year 085-86. Social Development Committee Coordinator Tanka Prasad Pun presented the five-year village education plan of Malika Rural Municipality from the fiscal year 081-82 to the fiscal year 085-86.
Similarly, Tak Bahadur Pun, coordinator of the Forest, Environment and Disaster Management Committee of the rural municipality, presented the Malika Rural Municipality Emergency Fund Act, 2081. The proposals, including plans and programs, presented in the village assembly were unanimously passed, said Beg Prasad Garbuja, chairman of the rural municipality. Malika Rural Municipality, which presented a total budget of Rs 479.176 million in the current fiscal year, has stated that there has been 16.78 percent financial progress of the total budget until the second week of Paush.
