Jan 03, Kathmandu- A man has died in a scooter accident in Bhaktapur. Nischal Rajbhandari, 31, a resident of Bhadrapur, Jhapa, and a resident of Dhunchepakha, died when his scooter (Ba.Pra.02-028 Pa 6610) met with an accident in Sanothimi on Tuesday night.

His wife, 28-year-old Pooja Shrestha, who was riding the scooter, was seriously injured in the accident. She is undergoing treatment at the Bhaktapur International Hospital.

The couple were both seriously injured in the accident, but Bhandari died during treatment at Norvic Hospital.

His body was taken to the Teaching Hospital this morning for a post-mortem. They had been living in Australia for studies and had only returned to Nepal a few days ago.

The accident occurred while they were returning to their room after buying things before leaving for Australia, according to police.
