TIA's Annual Income Is 13 Billion Rupees

Jan 03, Kathmandu- Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu has managed to generate revenue of nearly 13 billion rupees in a single year.

According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, Tribhuvan Airport's annual revenue for the fiscal year 2080/81 is Rs 12.866 billion. It is also the busiest airport among the operating airports in Nepal.

According to the authority, Pokhara International Airport is in the second position of the airport with the highest income.

This airport has earned 349 million 300 thousand rupees. Since international flights could not resume at this airport, the income has improved due to the increase in the number of domestic flights.

Gautam Buddha International Airport is in the third place. The annual income of this airport is 211 million 300 thousand rupees. Biratnagar Airport is on the fourth place. The income of this airport is equal to 175.6 million rupees.

  • Gautam Buddha International Airport: 211.1 million
  • Biratnagar Airport: 175.6 million
  • Nepalgunj Airport: 131.1 million
  • Chandragadhi Airport: 81.7 million
  • Dhangarhi Airport: 65.6 million
  • Bharatpur Airport: 63.9 million
  • Lukla Airport: 62.3 million
  • Janakpur Airport: 61.2 million

On the other hand, from some airports, the authority has been making very little income. Out of the 14.65 billion rupees earned by the NEA from various offices in a year, the lowest income is from the Lamidanda Airport office. This airport has earned only 474 rupees in a year.

Similarly, the income of the authority office at Doti is 9 thousand 475 rupees. Rumjatar Airport Office has earned 10 thousand 678 rupees.
