Women reaching a place of power is an achievement of political change: Prime Minister Oli

Jan 03, Kathmandu- Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has claimed that women reaching the place of governance today is an achievement of political change.

At the 'She Leads Icon' program organized by Kalpa Sanstha to honor public representatives today, Prime Minister Oli said that while the literacy level of girls could not improve yesterday, they have now reached the place of governance. He said that the presence and activism of women public representatives is enough to dispel the false narrative that the system has changed but the situation has not changed.

He also claimed that women representatives have played an active role in establishing legitimacy at the local level and providing effectiveness in service. He said that women representatives have taken the lead in upholding the dignity and legitimacy of municipalities and rural municipalities and that it has been established that if women wake up, society will change. Prime Minister Oli said that women have more compassion, love and affection and their role has achieved excellence and superiority in every field.
