Jan 04, Kathmandu- Microsoft has set aside 80 billion US dollars in 2025 to build artificial intelligence (AI) data centers, according to the company. "The tech giant plans to train AI models and deploy AI and cloud-based applications around the world," Microsoft said in a blog post on Friday.
More than half of that $80 billion investment will be in the United States, according to Microsoft Vice President Brad Smith. “AI promises to drive innovation and productivity across every sector of the economy,” Smith added. “The United States is poised to be at the forefront of this new technology wave.” Microsoft and OpenAI were in talks to build a data center facility. The facility was estimated to cost more than $100 billion to build.
