Jan 04, Kathmandu- To further strengthen the cultural ties between Nepal and China, the first-ever 'China Film Day' is being organized in Kathmandu. The program is being organized on January 9 at QFX, Chhaya Center, Thamel. The main objective of organizing the program is to cooperate in film production, promotion and marketing between the two countries in the coming days, the organizers have stated. In addition, such programs will help in cultural exchange between the two countries.
The event, jointly organized by the China Film Administration, the Chinese Embassy in Nepal, the China Film Archive, and the Nepal Film and Cultural Academy, will screen three popular Chinese films. After the screening, the audience will also be able to participate in an interaction with the film's producers, directors, and actors.
The program will be attended by famous artists, directors, technicians, and distinguished personalities from the Nepali film industry. In addition, distinguished officials of the Chinese Embassy in Nepal, Nepal Film Development Board, and Nepal Tourism Board will also participate in the program. The program will be organized under the chief guestship of former Finance Minister and member of the House of Representatives, Barshaman Pun.
