Jan 06, Kathmandu- The CPN-Maoist Center is going to make public the asset details of its central office bearers.
Maoist Center Chairman Prachanda has presented an action plan to the party to make public the asset details of its central office bearers under the framework of financial transparency.
There is a provision in this regard in the political report presented at the party's central committee meeting. It states, "The assets of central office bearers will be made public."
Also, the action plan proposes that the members of the party's central committee update their assets every year and submit them to the central office.
The action plan proposes that public representatives and those holding political appointments should also submit their asset details.
“Comrades in high-level political appointments, including those who have participated in the government at all three levels, members of federal parliament and provincial assemblies, will have to submit their asset details within one month of assuming their responsibilities and will have to update them every year throughout their service,” the action plan states.
